Thank you for volunteering with SecureFutures! If you are a first time volunteer, this is the perfect spot for you. Below we have a list of shadowing opportunities. This will let you observe a classroom session before teaching one by yourself. We also have resources, lesson plans, and program information here, so feel free to click around and explore. If you have any questions or want to select a shadowing opportunity, contact Sebastian Forbush.

• Online Training

- Online training for Money Sense takes a little over an hour to complete and is accessible 24/7.
- To login, use the preferred email address and password you designed when you completed your volunteer application.

Money Path Resources

• Money Path Intro

- Watch this video to get an overview of the Money Path app.

• Create Your Account

- To create an account, head to MoneyPathApp.org Click Have a class code? and enter: 567-9824
- Build and save a couple of sample paths to familiarize yourself. Money Path is a mobile responsive website (not a downloadable app!) meaning it can be used with a computer or tablet with most browsers.

• Review the Lesson Plan

- Volunteer Guide. Review this guide as it’ll walk you through the whole 60-90 minute lesson
- Guided Facilitation Video This video walks through the technical parts of the app, you start and stop throughout the lesson and use the volunteer guide (linked above) to help spark discussion.

Money Coach

• How to Get Involved

- Check out our volunteer flyer and coach role descriptions for more information on how this programs works.

- If you are selected as a coach, in-person and virtual training is offered twice a year in September and January. You will be notified when recruitment for coaches opens.

- Our Program Guide provides a description of each of our three programs: MoneySense, Money Path, and Money Coach. The guide is primarily used for outreach to educators, but it also provides a great overview of our programming options.
