SecureFutures is looking for around 100 volunteers to serve in the Milwaukee area for the Money Coach program for the spring semester! We have an ambitious goal to serve 20 sites in the Milwaukee area, and we need your help to bring Money Coach to even more teens in our community!
Money Coach is SecureFutures’ life-changing financial mentoring program focused on teens from historically marginalized and under-resourced communities. Volunteering as a mentor gives you the opportunity to build lasting personal relationships with high school students. Over the course of 11 weeks, you will help students learn about financial topics such as: banking, expense tracking and budgeting, credit cards, career exploration, and planning for life after high school.
Additional information about training and available sites will be shared after you complete the volunteer interest form. Please check out the volunteer recruitment flyer for a program overview and the coach role descriptions for more details.
If you are interested in becoming a Money Coach for the spring semester, please take one minute to complete the volunteer interest form. Please spread the word to friends, colleagues, and others in your network who might be interested in becoming a Money Coach! As part of the recruitment process, we also want to provide an incentive for those who refer friends, colleagues, neighbors, etc. Individuals who make a referral, as well as the referred volunteer who commits to becoming a Money Coach, will be entered for a giveaway!
This is a great opportunity to make a big impact in a teen’s life and help us equip students with the tools to build a more secure future.
