Educator Spotlight: Nic Manogue

FacebookLinkedInTwitter

It’s Educator Appreciation Month at SecureFutures! We’re taking this opportunity to recognize our educator partners and the passion they bring to equipping teens with financial capability.

Nic Manogue, the Financial Literacy & Employability Skills teacher at Milton High School, has always taken financial and career planning to heart. After working for 16 years in the Janesville school district, he returned to his alma mater in 2016 to head up the financial literacy programming at Milton.

Nic is one of the earliest adopters of SecureFutures’ new program, Money Path, offering feedback on the app throughout the development phase. Nic ensures that each of the nearly 300 Junior students at Milton develops an “Academic and Career Plan” as part of their senior project. Nic incorporates Money Path throughout the course of the year, helping students feel confident and take ownership of a plan for their future.

In 2018, Nic was recognized by Governor Tony Evers as 1 of 5 educators statewide to receive the Governor’s Financial Literacy Award. Congrats, Nic!

Nic was recently featured on a podcast with NextGen Personal Finance and talks about his work with SecureFutures – listen here!
