- Learn about how to purchase your first home and why it is important to start planning now. Homeownership is within your reach! Panelists include community members that work with first time home buyers (from education to accessing assistance programs to securing a mortgage and finding a home) and Money Coach alumni who recently purchased their own homes.
- To learn more about the journey to homeownership, consider connecting with WHEDA through one of their first-time homebuyer seminars. The WHEDA website has lots of resources for people at every stage of homeownership, including rental information.

Here are some resources from the Money Coach program that you may find useful as you continue on your journey to financial empowerment.
- Expense Tracking and Budgeting Spreadsheet – Spreadsheet used in the Money Coach program to help you track expenses and create a realistic budget.
- Budget Worksheet for a College Student – Worksheet to help you plan your expenses in college, taking into account tuition, books, supplies, room and board, and other school fees.
- Annual Credit Report – Request your credit reports here.
- Mint – Free money management (expense tracking, budgeting, goal setting) app.
- Acorns – Investing app.
- Money Path – Compare education and career paths and build your first financial plan. Use the account you created when you were in Money Coach (you can reset your password if you forgot it). If you don’t have an account, email moneycoach@securefutures.org and request an account.
- Money Sense onDemand – 14 short modules on a variety of personal finance and financial planning topics. Each takes about 15-30 minutes to complete.
- 2022 Smart Money Resource Guide – Local guide with community resources to help you reach financial security. Available in English and Spanish.
- Hands on Banking – Online learning center full of lots of quick articles about finances.
- Practical Money Skills – Financial education lessons and resources for all ages, available in 19 languages and 46 countries.
- America Saves – Get guidance on saving for different types of goals like an emergency fund, a large purchase, a car down payment, homeownership, or retirement.
