SecureFutures is the first-ever winner of the Thrivent Social Reverse Pitch Challenge! We’re excited and proud that our new Money Path app is being recognized for innovation, and grateful for Thrivent’s financial investment and the spotlight this award places on the impact of our new program in the lives of teens.

The Thrivent Social Reverse Pitch Challenge asked startups and innovative thinkers to develop a solution to change financial habits, especially for young adults, by creating a platform to inspire informed decision-making on a day-to day basis.

SecureFutures was asked to pitch at the challenge event, a part of the 2018 Twin Cities Startup Week held in October. The week enabled and connected entrepreneurs and startups in an effort to celebrate innovative things happening in the Twin Cities, while inspiring others to join in the process.  Thrivent has been instrumental in the development of a Financial Technology (FinTech) track during the week’s events, including the Social Reverse Pitch Challenge.

SecureFutures won $25,000 in prize money and a $50,000 contract to implement the Money Path app in the Twin Cities area with Project for Pride in Living (PPL), sponsored by Thrivent. We look forward to the opportunity to partner with PPL, which is already doing great work transforming communities in the Twin Cities area.
