Registration, sponsorship now open for exclusive Midwest investor event; attendees directly support financial education nonprofit

Milwaukee, WI (Jan. 8, 2016)
– Byron Trott, founder, chairman and CEO of BDT & Company, will participate in a keynote interview at the state’s largest and most influential event for investors. Trott will make a rare public speaking engagement at the 8th Annual Investment Conference, hosted by Make A Difference – Wisconsin on June 1, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Milwaukee.

Trott and his firm are widely recognized for their work advising and investing in world-class family and founder-led companies. Prior to his prolific finance and advisory work with BDT, Trott had a distinguished 27-year career in investment banking with Goldman Sachs. Trott will be joined by three other dynamic regional financial leaders on the stage in the afternoon event, where they will share exclusive insight on investments, markets and strategies.

“A financial mind of Byron Trott’s caliber speaks to the growing importance of this Investment Conference to the business community, in Wisconsin and throughout the Midwest,” said Joe Schlidt, event chair and board member at Make A Difference – Wisconsin. “Trott and other financial leaders show that the Midwest is making its presence felt in global financial markets.”

This announcement marks the opening of sponsorships and registration for the 8th Annual Investment Conference. The Investment Conference draws 600 financial leaders annually to hear keen insight on investing trends. Past keynote speakers include Bill Ackman, David Einhorn, Jim Chanos and Howard Marks.

The Investment Conference also serves as the primary fundraiser for Make A Difference – Wisconsin, a nonprofit based in Milwaukee that empowers teenagers with financial literacy skills and resources. Trott has stated his affinity toward next-generation money management education given his role as financial counsel to many wealthy families.

Event sponsorships and registration are now open. Contact info@makeadifferencewisconsin.org to reserve your spot or make a tax-deductible sponsorship. For more information on Trott, other speaker announcements and the event, visit makeadifferenceconference.com.
